800M Rechargeable Electric Dog Training Collar

We have two very small dogs (1 Chihuahua and 1 Pomeranian), these collars are wonderful and great for all different sizes. My sister has a very big husky and the same collars fit her dog. We will trim our collar for the small dogs if we need to but I love the versatility. Extremely easy to use, we are training the dogs to not bark every time our RING chimes and to not take off out the front door every time it opens.

I really need to start this off with saying I was extremely anti shock collar. I loved my boy and I hated the idea of “hurting” him to get him to listen. My husband and I had reached our wits end with our Great Pyrenees puppy who was so smart that he would learn commands and then blatantly ignore them when he didn’t feel like listening (in true Great Pyrenees fashion) he was getting bigger and harder to control and this was our last ditch effort before hiring an expensive dog trainer. The first day we practiced with it he started to behave better, and the “shock” is really more of a nuisance he wants to avoid rather than a punishment. Once he knew what was coming we only had to use the tones to get him to listen to his basic commands. It’s only been a week and he’s already much more well mannered and easier to handle. Excited to see how he progresses with off leash and more complex training. On the down side, the remote is a little confusing to learn and it can be a little annoying to charge the collar all the time, but he’s crate trained so we just plug it in when he goes in for the night and put it back on in the morning. I would buy this 100 times over.

Our 8-month old Vizsla suddenly decided she didn't need to come when called. This was a big problem as she started completely ignoring us at the dog park while racing around chasing birds. Unlike our Golden Retriever, she's not very food motivated and the traditional training strategies were not working. This SportDog collar has completely changed our relationship with our Vizsla. The small dog-training manual was very helpful and I followed its suggestions of combining a long leash and the SportDog collar to train our Vizsla. It did take me a couple of days to figure out the minimum static setting needed to get her attention. Now we mostly need to use just the beep and vibrate feature. After just two weeks of training, she comes when she is called. We can leave the dog park when WE think it is time to go.
